Floatation: High Margin ~ Pure Pleasure
Floatation is a luxury spa experience that requires very little from your staff in working with the client. You show a person to their room, provide them with quick orientation, give them some cool water and answer their questions. They take care of the rest. Your clients are treating themselves to 50 minutes of total and complete relaxation therapy - floating in a shallow pool of salt water, within a room that limits external distractions such as light and noise. The water and air temperature are set precisely at 93.7 degrees (the exact surface temperature of your skin). The water is saturated with Epson salt that cradles your body and releases you from gravity’s pull. The feeling is one of absolute calm and lightness – like nothing you have ever experienced. In a word - bliss. Floating detoxifies the body, relaxes muscles at the cellular level and improves overall blood flow. In effect, floating directly counteracts the pain and general malaise that come from too much caffeine, not enough sleep, poor ergonomics and far too much work. Detoxification removes the overflow of toxins. Heart rate and blood pressure decrease and stress hormones evaporate. Total relaxation and increased blood flow combine to bath muscles in endorphin-induced pain relief while feeding them the nutrients they need to rest and repair. As you know, attracting new customers is the biggest challenge for any spa. But providing additional services to existing customers provides the biggest return. The beauty of floating is that it can be used as both a stand-alone service and also as a complementary service with many of the services ands packages that you may already offer. Floating can be sold as a ‘complete relaxation therapy’ package that delivers the deepest, longest lasting relaxation result available. Your guests can become fully relaxed and detoxify before or after their massage. Floating can also be offered to walk-in clients as a fantastic alternative to the waiting list. We manufacture float rooms and the software to completely automate and control their operation. Our expertise comes from operating a floatation center day spa outside of Boston and from all of the European and American float centers that we have visited over the last several years. We believe in the health and wellness provided by floating and our goal is to help bring floatation treatments to Resorts & Hotels, Destination Spas, Sports and Training Facilities, Hospital and Rehabilitation Facilities, Day Spas, Wellness Centers, and Ski Resorts everywhere.
